Were you looking for the Vent Cameras from the third game?

Air Vents are a pair of locations connected between The Office from Five Nights at Freddy's 2 within Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

Left Air Vent

Fnaf2-cam05

The Left Air Vent is a location within Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. It connects The Office to Party Room 1.

The animatronics that pass through the Left Air Vent are Bonnie, Toy Chica, and BB. It is also possible, on very rare occasions, to see the Bare Endoskeleton here.

Lights

There are lights within both vents, similar to the Hall Lights in the original Five Nights at Freddy's. These are triggered by a single button above each respective vent, allowing the player to spot any animatronics who might be poking their head into The Office from there.

Unlike the first game, however, these lights do not drain power, as there is no power limit for the building. They also do not emit a sound upon discovering an animatronic.

It is worth noting that the lights do not need to be clicked a second time to turn them off. The buttons now have a click-and-hold functionality. Also, the player does not need to click on the button itself, as it is possible to have the mouse button pressed as the cursor passes onto the button, which will turn on the light in the same way.

Trivia

  • Many people have claimed that Freddy Fazbear and Toy Freddy enter through here, but this has been proven false, as no textures or files that show such an occurrence are found in the game whatsoever.
  • Bonnie enters exclusively through the Left Air Vent. This is similar to how he entered The Office in the first game, which was exclusively through the left door.
    • Unlike the first game, however, he skips the blind spot, with him and Chica being the only animatronics in the game able to do so.
    • Ironically, in the first game, Bonnie and Chica were the only animatronics who could be spotted with the Hall Lights.
  • Curiously, when Balloon Boy appears here on both the camera and light, his sign and balloon vanish, but when he enters The Office, they reappear with him.

Right Air Vent

The Right Air Vent is a location within Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. It connects The Office to Party Room 2.

The animatronics that pass through the Right Air Vent are Toy Bonnie, Chica, and Mangle.

Trivia

  • Many people have claimed that Freddy Fazbear and Toy Freddy enter through here, but this has been proven false, as no textures or files that show such an occurrence are found in the game whatsoever.
  • Chica enters exclusively through the Right Air Vent. This is similar to how she entered The Office in the first game, which was exclusively through the right door.
    • Unlike the first game, however, she skips the blind spot, with her and Bonnie being the only animatronics in the game able to do so.
    • Ironically, in the first game, Bonnie and Chica were the only animatronics who could be spotted with the Hall Lights.
  • Aside from Chica's appearance in Parts/Service, this is the only room in which her arms are in a different position (in this case they're bent, possibly being forced, upwards) as opposed to her normal "T-pose".
  • Mangle's radio interference is audible when the vent is being viewed on the Monitor and when Mangle is lingering in the blind spot. This audio cue is not present in the mobile version, however.
  • If one looks close enough, it appears that Mangle's endoskeleton head is clipping through the wall of the vent.
    • One of Chica's feathers on her head is partially clipping through as well.
  • This is the only camera where Toy Bonnie's tail is visible.

Air Vents returns in Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location.

Main vents

There are at least four Air Vents - one between the Elevator and the Primary Control Module room, and the second between Primary Control Module and the Circus Control room. There are two possible vents leading to Ballora Gallery and Funtime Auditorium, but the player is never seen crawling in them.

Private Room

Additionally, there is another vent in the Private Room that, as with the doors, keeps Ennard from attacking the player. Ennard enters this vent in two postions; one far away from the camera vent, and one close to it.

Custom Night

The contents of this page are from a non-canon source, and thus, have no bearing on the official lore of the series.

In the Custom Night, Bidybab attacks through here. She gradually emerges through the vent, and will attack if the player does not close the vent.

Appearance

The air vents have a similar appearance to the air vents from Five Nights at Freddy's 2, but the ends of each vent texture have a square row of screws.

Trivia

  • This is the first time that the player gets to enter and leave the air vents.
  • In the Extra menu showing the Primary Control Module, the air vents are blocked by metal bars. This was likely scrapped during development.
  • The vent in the Private Room in the fake ending looks a lot different from the vent in the Custom Night.
    • This is likely due to the change of lights.

The Vent on the right side of the Office.

The Air Vents make a return in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator as the main way the animatronics enter The Office. The Ventilation is also back, as a very important game mechanic. Should the temperature be too high, the player will pass out, sending you back to the warning screen. More info coming soon.

Air Vents returns once again in Ultimate Custom Night, as one of the main mechanics in the game.

The main vents are traversed by Springtrap, Withered Chica, Mangle, Molten Freddy, and Ennard. Although the vents themselves are not directly visible to the player on any camera, can be monitored via their own section on the player's Monitor, which display a map of their length and an icon alerting the player of the location of any animatronic in the vent. There are several paths the animatronics can take, all leading to a single opening in the player's Office. The player must watch to determine which animatronics are close to the player.

There are two primary means of hindering the progress of vent-dwelling animatronics. The first method is a vent snare, which can block off any one of the three vent paths leading to The Office. Withered Chica and Mangle are both affected by the snare. Withered Chica can also be stopped by the vent door, Mangle on the other hand is only prevented by the vent snares. Shutting the vent door upon Mangle will only stop them from getting into the office. On the other hand, Molten Freddy, Springtrap, and Ennard are completely unaffected by the snare, and they can only be stopped by closing the vent door itself. Springtrap can be seen peering through the opening in The Office, while Molten Freddy and Ennard alert the player of their presence via audio cues, allowing the player to more easily determine if they pose a threat. Successfully blocking off these five animatronics will provide one Faz-Coin.

There is also a smaller vent visible on the right side of the player's Office, which is not able to be viewed through the Monitor. Instead, the player must watch the vent directly from inside The Office itself. BB and JJ appear in this vent's opening very often, and although neither of them can directly give the player a Game Over, they both can temporarily disable the player's Flashlight, leaving them vulnerable to attacks from certain antagonists, as well as emit a loud laughter, which can agitate sound-sensitive animatronics. The player must therefore take care to check this opening very often, and close the vent door if they see either BB or JJ. Additionally, William Afton will attempt to enter through this vent once per night, with his appearance being foreshown by a loud clanging noise. Although he can be stopped by closing the vent door, he can jumpscare the player and give them a Game Over if they fail to close the vent door in time.
