Core Five Nights at Freddy's Series |
The Air Conditioner, also known as the temperature, is an off-screen object represented as a scale gauge to express the hot and cold temperatures. It was used in two Five Nights at Freddy's games.
Gameplay[]
Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator[]
The temperature is featured for the Office gameplay while warding off the salvaged animatronics, located at the bottom right side of the screen. The player begins with the lowest temperature, 60°F, and no harm will be caused. During the shift, the temperature has to be closely monitored, as it is affected by turning on or off the ventilation system. If the ventilation system is turned off, the temperature will increase sporadically every 0.5 to 3 seconds. When the temperature reaches 100°F, the temperature percent text will turn red and blink, warning that the Office is overheating. If the temperature reaches 120°F, the player will pass out and be sent back to the main menu, similar to the death screen. This is the only way to cause a game over without getting killed by any of the animatronics.
In the Completion Ending, as Henry discusses everything behind the pizzeria and animatronics, the temperature is seen slowly rising without the ventilation system activated. The temperature continues to rise even after it reaches 120°F. It stops at 179°F, just as Henry finishes his final speech.
Ultimate Custom Night[]
The temperature functions similarly to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, starting at 60° and maxing out at 120°. However, the player will not pass out at 120° like in the previous game. As the heat increases, it will activate or trigger certain animatronics (Freddy Fazbear, Jack-O-Chica, etc). The Frigid power-up can be used to start the night at 50°. The temperature is affected by the power status of the desk fan, as well as the A/C unit and Heater.
