Per discussion with other users I've determined that, even after measures were put into place to increase punishment for offenses on chatposts, that the posts are ultimately impossible to moderate, not appropriate for the FNaF wiki (where discussion should be focused on the FNaF series), and against FANDOM guidelines (FANDOM has been aiming to fight against such off-topic posts on wikis, avoiding turning their platform into social media)

If you regularly use these posts, please find alternatives of contacting people on them, such as with other social media platforms or message walls. If you do not use these posts, there is no need to take any action

As of this post, the remaining chatposts will be locked and further chatposts are not allowed to be made. Furthermore, The Shitpost 7 will now be renamed to Hawk Post: The Sampening

If you've checked the wiki at all over the last 24 hours or so, I'm sure you're aware of the ongoing controversy involving the deletion of a prominent chatpost and other users who were perceived to be the cause of the ban.

After private deliberation with the other admins, some trusted wiki members, and personal deliberation, I have ultimately decided not to ban chatposts at this time.

However, this entire controversy has left me extremely drained and, frankly, annoyed with many of the people who went behind my backs to trash-talk me or the other mods, as well as an anonymous individual who sent threats to my personal discord. If your existence on this site hinges on a single post, you should reevaluate your use of this site.

I will admit to taking the piss a little bit with the name "Hawkpost: The Tuah", but the community outrage in response was absolutely unacceptable. As a consequence, the prominent chatpost that existed previously will not be unlocked and all new chatposts must be directly approved by moderation staff.

Locks and bans related to material posted under approved chatposts will be MUCH more frequent. I would highly recommend that you are careful with what you say and do under individual chatposts.

I maintain that I was 100% in the right in this situation. I was admittedly a little bit immature in the naming of the post, but my reasoning and justification for the locks and the following controversy were entirely fair and this retraction should not be viewed as me choosing to go back on what I said simply to avoid further controversy. Patterns of inappropriate and harassing behavior have been frequent on the prominent chatposts since they first appeared.

Remember that FANDOM is not intended to be used as traditional social media. These "chatposts" are simply created as mass threads to allow individuals to discuss topics unrelated to the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise without dealing with the restrictive Message Wall system that, as of yet, has not been added to mobile versions of the site, which is where the majority of discussions users access the site. Please do not share personally identifiable details on the posts.

The current post will be rebranded and unlocked when ready.

Wow, now Lumen's doing one?! Don't worry, this is just a small thing. It's just something that has come to my attention. So, what's this all about? Low-effort posts. So....what does this mean?

Low-effort posts are posts with, well, little to no effort put behind them. For example, the Who Would Win polls. I know there was just a guideline added about those, so those aren't the main focus. However, it's just a friendly reminder that, as per the new guideline, WWW polls featuring characters from other Fandoms and communities will be deleted.

So...is that it? Unfortunately no. Lately there has been an influx of low effort posts coming in (who is taller, height charts, and sometimes even random posts) and those will often clog up the discussions board. Posts with little to no effort put behind them are typically deleted. Guys, please try to put effort into what you post! Engage with the community! Post some art! Theorize! Just put some effort into it!

...are you done yet? Almost! This is just one more quick little thing. Users of the wiki, please refrain from spamming the discussions board and spamming the same comments. Those are often deleted, but it frustrated the entire wiki nonetheless.

Anything else? Nothing, really! I would just like to remind other users, myself included, to be nice to each other. Please don't go about tearing each other's throats out over a theory or opinion. If you're going to theorize, do it respectfully, and if you have beef with another user, please take it to a Message Wall instead of dragging it into the discussions.

So what can I do about it?

• Report the low-effort posts that you see.

• Don't harass each other.

• Interact with the community.

• Share your art and opinions!

• Last but not least, just...have fun. Please keep it civil and respectful.

PSA 1: I will not be active until I fully finish ITP to the best of my ability. This could take a couple of hours to a couple of days depending on how content rich the game is and how long it takes to get the ending blind. I will stay around long enough to publish my draft of the final announcement when ITP launches and leave right after.
