Even though it's scrapped, this book shows us Scott's ideas and storytelling.
One major thing is that he directly called Michael Afton "Mike Schmidt" and doesn't seem to hide it. This should be the nail in coffin to confirm they were always going to be the same character (if that wasn't obvious enough). I think keeping the pages separate is not needed. There isn't much that contradicts this anymore.
Now, another major thing, this book straight up revealed that the Crying Child was Afton's son (aaaand... that was obvious too). A big plot point of this book was going to be that there were no records of his second son and that Afton did not care about his death. So keeping him not related to Afton in his page is also not needed.
Again, even though it's scrapped, this info is still usable.
