Eh, I’m once again falling back on “it depends on the show. “revealed near the end of your season/show if done successfully, such as Animated Megatron or Adam Smasher. Both of these characters are unapologetically evil with no chance of redemption, and they're hailed as some of the best we've gotten. However, taking forever to introduce your ultimate baddie can backfire heavily, as we've seen with White Diamond. Introducing someone as a bad guy and saying "oh well they're bad" doesn't work if we don't see them being bad. Megatron manipulates Isaac Sumdac, along with Lugnut, throughout the show. When he finally regains his body; he absolutely fucks up the Autobots. It isn't even close to a fair fight. And that helps finally establish Megatron as a true threat. Same goes for Adam Smasher. He claims to be the most dangerous man alive, and” think if the Alternates just showed up at the end of the Mandela Catalogue, as Gabriel’s minions, and we’re told they killed people/compelled people to kill themselves. Yeah, it would make sense, but would it be satisfactory? Fuck no.

Art the clown doesn’t really have a motive, but I like him. It also depends on the portrayal and movie. Since I wouldn’t want Leatherface to be like Art, since Leatherface is a complex and interesting character, along with his family. It’d be out of place for someone like Purple guy to start setting torture traps like Jigsaw.
