I've believed in the past SB takes place a century after 6, but with the rapid AI advancements it's plausible the game's in the 2030's.
Sounds like dialogue for the movie, love it!
Valid point
*Purely my opinion, you don’t have to agree*
A year ago, we saw Jim Carrey return to the big screen as the infamous Robotnic. Later, we saw Pedro Pascal master the role of Joel. Not long after, Jack Black unleashed his inner king as Bowser. And months from now, the trifecta will include Matthew Lilard as William Afton. But I have some issues.
Now, the first Scream was a campy satirical take on the genre of slasher films which had grown stale at the time of its release. Eventually, the concept fell victim to the very tropes it was built to mock. Five Screams later and the reveal in the first one becomes less impactful, all the killers motives mere duplicates of the originals that stuck the landing on the grounds that we didn’t see it coming. If we are going to see Matthew throughout the planned trilogy, he still needs to be a villain worth engaging with.
The fnaf movie could still be campy, but the trailer suggests tones similar the to Blumhouse Halloween trilogy (and look how that went). It’s a lot of pressure to put on one guy, but I really want the movie trilogy to be solid all the way through.
Which is why I believe that the actor that should have been set in Matthew’s place for William is Bill Skarsgard.
I’m not sure what Blumhouse will plan to do with Springtrap, or any other iteration of William, but they likely won’t make him able to conjure nightmares. Modern day William can be viewed as a psychological horror villian, cunning and manipulative. Something Bill surpassed in his performances as PennyWise. I must admit, there’s complications to this.
For one, though Bill effectively portrayed the character his dreams were haunted by It. I can’t be sure if the same connection could be struck with William’s character, especially considering the degradation Security Breach wrought upon him. Bill would be more effective in the Springbonnie disguise and as Glitchtrap. Although, his impact as It would provide unnecessary struggle on the writing team to separate the two villains personality. Material from It would likely have to be recycled for Bill’s portrayal of William to be mediocre at best.
Who knows though? I could be right and I could be wrong. Hopefully, Matthew Lilard will be more convincing as William than Tom Halland was as Nathan Drake.
Waltah, put away that shitty pizzah Waltah
Cameraman faster than everyone bro
Same here
Both? Both. Both is good.
If people start talking about an indie cinematic universe after the movie drops I am going to lose my mind. A Smash Bros movie is feasible. Connecting every major indie game? You'd have better chances surviving off of bleach.
If this hit shelfs I'd buy it
I returned at a really bad time. Hopefully this will pass by quickly.
If the internet could burn the first movie sonic design, we can swap a few red eyes
A sub-freddit would be the proper term.
I would gladly participate in this trend, if my glitch trap costume could still fit me. Maybe it can.
I mean, remove the shitty jumpscare and you got a good killer
Just another dumb trend
Wasn’t there a time where people believed the songs to be canon to the games?
