Um Old Vs New theorys YAYY
My FNAF Theory Beliefs
Who do you play as in FNAF4?
OLD: I personally believe in the first few nights you are playing as the Crying Child but in the later nights when Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare appear you play as Michael being haunted by his past
NEW: You only play as Michael in FNAF 4. Afton experiments on his son to test fear reactions and see what he's able to do. Michael is shown (in the little media we see of him) to be deeply connected to dreaming.
How do the FNAF4 Nightmares work?
OLD: I don't believe the gas theory. I believe illusion discs were what were used in FNAF4 simply because it makes sense. In the first few nights The Crying Child is being tormented in his dreams by the nightmares (No illusion discs) But in the later nights when you play as Michael I believe illusion discs are used. Makes sense to me, Michael accidentally murked his brother so it makes sense he'd be terrified by Fredbear, so the illusion discs would alter his reality to make Fredbear look scary asf
NEW: I still want to say illusion discs are what's being used to manipulate the nightmares, but I'm beginning to lean towards the gas theory. Either way it results in the same outcome so I don't care.
Are the books canon to the game?
OLD: I think the books are parallels to the games. I think only certain Tales From The Pizzaplex books are canon.
NEW: I haven't really changed my opinion on this. I really don't believe the stitchwraith story happened in the books though. How the fuck would nobody see a 12 foot Afton Amalgamation, Fazbear entertainment would've referenced it at least ONCE as a coverup like they did in SB with the bite of 83
Explanation for Glitchtrap, The Mimic and Burntrap?
OLD: Glitchtrap and Burntrap are the same entity, however I personally believe THE MIMICCCC is a separate entity.
NEW: Glitchtrap is AI, Burntrap is the Mimic.
What's inside the FNAF4 Box?
OLD: I think the Crying Child's body is inside the box.
NEW: I haven't changed my stance on this. It doesn't matter what's inside anymore, so why not just go as morbid as possible.
Who's the vengeful spirit?
OLD: I think Andrew is only canon to the books so I think Cassidy is the vengeful spirit.
NEW: I also haven't changed my stance on this.
Is Cassie dead?
OLD: I personally believe Cassie is dead(in the bad ending IF that's the canon one) ngl, but I wouldn't be surprised if she had some sort of plot armor
NEW: No, she's definitely alive. The ending where she does most likely isn't canon.
What is the Blob?
OLD: I think the blob/tangle is the leftover agony from the missing children. I don't really have an explanation for why the puppet’s tears are missing or why Circus Baby's eye lights are out, the only thing I can really think of is maybe they've fully moved on and don't have left over agony? But that wouldn't make sense for Circus Baby so I don't really know
NEW: Same stance on this, but I do think now that the reason Circus Baby’s eyes are out are because her chip was found and recycled by Fazbear Entertainment to be used in their electronics. The Puppet’s lights are likely out because she moved on fully without leaving agony behind.
What is the Mimic?
OLD: Listen— Just hear me out, but I think the Mimic is Circus Baby or is somehow tied to her. I literally have no evidence for this whatsoever except for the fact that I think Steel Wool is putting her in literally every single game of theirs for a reason. She has to be important right? Like why has she been in every game made by Steel Wool (Counting the Plush babies as a version of her.) I've been looking back at the Trilogy and The Mimic reminds me a lot of how Circus Baby acted when she was pretending to be Charlie. I think it might be the same situation except instead of mimicking Charlie maybe it's Vanessa? It's the only way I can make sense of the rooftop ending in SB
NEW: I think I was sort of right about this? The Mimic isn't Circus Baby fully, but it definitely uses pieces of her that Fazbear Entertainment recycled. Like in HW2 Helpy has Circus Baby’s chip in his brain, it might be alluding
to the fact that she's not entirely gone (#1 Circus Baby fan)
