Not exactly a theory around the story, but more a theory around a location in the Pizzaplex. Kid's Cove (the only Foxy themed area) just seems to exist without its own Foxy to add to the Pizzaplex, it's just one of those non-story related areas like the Glamrock Beauty Salon and Chica's Bakery.

Before I get into it, doesn't anyone feel like the Kid's Cove is supposed to be another daycare area? Now regarding new or old, that's the question; how long has the Kid's Cove area been around for? This is probably something pointless to think about, but I feel like every area in the Pizzaplex has a story to tell if you look around and notice anything.

New:

It was built to replace the Daycare Attendant's space after too many complaints off customers, like the one involving the little kid who gets upset now whenever the lights in his room are on or off. Kids are scared of Sun & Moon, so FazEnt builds a new Foxy area but they never got around to bringing in a Foxy.

Old:

The place was set up, but they put the money into the Daycare Attendant instead.

The more likely answer:

The company just never got around to bringing in a Foxy yet and that's about it.

I know Sun's meant to be more like a friendly mascot than a haunted ghost, but what if Sun remembers something bad happening the last time the lights were turned off in the nursery?

There is a duffel bag with a log explaining how a mother complained about her child being scared of the night.

Considering Moon seems to be under Vanny's control and Sun isn't for some reason, what if that child almost got snatched by Vanny using Moon because the lights went out? Maybe Moon isn't meant to be active and it's been made clear to keep the lights on since then.

Maybe another child was actually snatched by Moon.

It's already been answered in a cut line of dialogue for Freddy.

Exactly what I thought from the first time watching the Rooftop Ending, the cut dialogue has Freddy explaining the lighter in his finger is a feature for lighting birthday candles.

Is he a robot? Maybe, but I don't think he's the Crying Child. Gregory could be the robot that was to replace the Crying Child, but then he could be another dead child inhabiting the body of a robot child.

Who let loose the prototype Music Man toys?

Vanny/Vanessa are already theorised to be the ones, but could it be the prototypes were already possessed and broke out themselves? How old are these prototypes anyway? Did they already look damaged before they broke loose?

Glamrock Chica's eating habit

There's a duffel bag you can find that explains how Chica's personality chip has always been rather 'quirky', so my guess is they're reusing an old Chica personality chip. Nothing really much I can point out with this.

Why does our vision glitch out when Vanny is near?

I believe Vanny is using the illusion disks, perhaps on a frequency that disorients the individual.

There's a detail I've noticed in the underground ending for Security Breach that's got me thinking.

There's detail of bone and flesh all over Burntrap. Sort of the same thing with Scraptrap and there's areas where there shouldn't be flesh on Springtrap in FNaF 3. Could Afton be trying to regain his physical human form?

What we know in the novels is that back in the Charlie Trilogy, Afton was merging his organs with the Remnant of the original victims. Then, with the epilogue of Fazbear Frights it's described the Stitchwraith's two souls witnessed Afton grow a physical fleshy form in the furnace, it's written in there somewhere I believe.

Could it be Afton's (or Glitchtrap if it's an entity partially separate from Afton) been draining the Pizzaplex of power, using the animatronic recharge station with the Remnant of past and new victims to regenerate some sort of a Fleshtrap form...I guess?

Here's something interesting I've noticed in Security Breach.

It seems that after you give Freddy the voice box upgrade, he gets his black bowtie replaced with a purple one.

Going straight into it, I don't think Sunnydrop is an ally.

I believe Sunnydrop in the Security Breach trailer was in the middle of following/chasing us, perhaps just its security programming or something else mixed with the character's energetic personality.

Could be that during gameplay in comparison with Moondrop:

With the lights on - Sunnydrop will be the energetic friendly type; talking and yelling with that Funtime Freddy-esque voice, jumping out of nowhere when we least expect it.

With the lights off - Moondrop comes out and it's the more creepy type; sneaking after us with that creepy predatory voice from the trailer.

A sort of opposites thing:

Sunnydrop - More friendly, energetic and loud.

Moondrop - Less friendly, sneaky and quiet.
