I feel like the Phantoms are really under appreciated and maybe that would be different if they had voices. So I gave them voices.

Yes they’re all voiced by me and all the lines are original. I’m a girl and I even voiced the boys. I didn’t voice Balloon boy though I can’t do a balloon boy impression so I just edited his original laugh.

Ps. Don’t question Phantom Golden Freddy I’m not even sure if he’s Shadow Freddy or Golden Freddy. But I wrote him as Golden Freddy so just roll with it.

I fell down a rabbit hole, I realize this theory has several things strange and possible problems, and that it raises my questions then it answers ,but regardless I wanted to post this, please keep a open mind, yes it has problems but instead of immediately rejecting /hating for it being dumb look for logical ways on the possibility of it, and evidence for it

I was on a post replying when I thought about how the fnaf 3 guard is triggering the happiest day, no one else in the game series has managed to do this, Henry could only free the souls through fire, destroying the animatronics like William did will only make them haunt you, and tampering like Michael did just makes them more aggresive, and so I thought about the only other creature that Can help create a happiest day for someone , a person who has the power to help someone get freed, jake, from what I read I think Jake has the power to help someone reach their happiest day, to make them fade away while focusing on their paradise, because of this revelation I thought about maybe looking at this from a different perspective, the fact the guard without tampering with the robots , or destroying them caused their happiest day, I then thought to dig deeper so I looked at what we found for more info about the phantoms (because their the only other appearance of the phantoms ) and I found that another question arrived , why did the phantoms not kill / hurt the guard? In the story what we found they attack hudson, slash at him, and even cook him alive by turning on a oven , but the fnaf 3 guard never gets hurt, maybe a bit panicked but the phantoms never kill, which is strange, so I thought about looking at the only other appearance of the phantoms in the series, ucn, which made me realize something

Theirs something different with the phantoms in the games, in the games they just scare you, but dont kill, but in the books their deadly

So I thought what if in the games the reason they don't kill is to just torture the player , in ff they just attack, but in the games they just torture you, jumpscaring you, because they know the player, they know exactly who they are, which is why they also don't kill william in ucn, its to torture him, to distract him, to prolong the pain

So here's my idea

What if the character/protag of fnaf 3 is a phantom/spirit?

I know this sounds crazy but let me explain,

It would explain why the phantoms don't kill you. Your just like them, a victim of afton, or it could that they physically CANT kill you because your a phantom/spirit

And I know the next responds your going to say "what about when spring trap jump scares you" thats the thing, we never see him kill us, we just see him walking up to us and a jumpscare noise plays, we never see what happens after , unlike mostly every other game which has a jump scare that goes right in your face and asserts your dead (i.E a red screen, teeth chomping , being in a suit, etc) this one never has a true death screen, yes theirs spring trap trying to take off the suit but thats it, never a red screen, never teeth chomping, never being in a suit

And it was a spirit /phantom that was a victim of afton it would explain why it can trigger the happiest day for the mci, because it's a spirit as well, we have several times in this series been shown that when a living human tries to free souls it never goes well, with the only option being fire, so if the guard was a human how did it free the souls without tampering, without fire, or without destroying the suits? And puppet and Jake are proof that some souls have the power to help others achieve their happiest day, and we know the guard is the one triggering the happiest day, so they would have to have powers similar to Jake (happiest day wise) to free them,

And if it was a spirit/phantom it would explain aftons reaction when he jumps cares you (or at least walks up to you with that noise , )

He looks surprised , which why would he look surprised if it was a average Joe smo, but if it was someone he killed or someone he knew that died it would make sense why he's confused

One is walking up to the guard, the other is murdering the guard (or more accurately william)

And other thing that's important about this is one of the phantoms is different from the other, phantom puppet, it doesn't show up in the VR game, it only shows up in fnaf 3 with the protagonist, which causes them to see the original puppet in the hallway, they are exclusively inside the protagonists head which means they are important to the protagonist ,

I don't fully know who the protagonist is, but needless to say I feel that theirs is a other option rather then mike
