The theory that Midnight Motorist takes place after the DCI/SAVETHEM
My brother had this about him and wanted me to post it for him. It's that Orange guy is Henry Emily because he's Orange and not purple and the house looks different from the house in fnaf 4 and the reason he goes to the Jr's bar all the time is because of Charlottes death and the reason a twisted animatronic buried itself there was to attack Henry and they broke the window and the person in the chair is Mrs emily and she hasn't left him like the books because he didn't make a robot Charlotte
It’s Afton. I’m glad we were right
itp spoilers below (data mined achievement image)
also wip since aftonMM is pretty much canon
To begin with, what is Midnight Motorist? Midnight Motorist is a minigame that we can play in Five Nights at Freddy's Pizzeria Simulator! In the game, we control a car speeding down a highway. On this highway, there are other cars that you might collide with! This game kind of represents a drunk driver speeding down the highway in their car.
The problem is that the player can access a secret place in this minigame. Accessing it, the style of the minigame changes, showing that this is not just a simple minigame; it represents some story there. This part represents what happened after William Afton murdered Charlie. Yes! This car was being driven by Afton. One piece of evidence is that the minigame is labeled as 'Later that Night' in the game files, indicating that the game takes place sometime after a certain night. And the most important night that fits perfectly here is Charlie’s death.
Let's look at it: it’s raining in the minigame, the same as we see in Security Puppet, where Charlie is locked outside, and it’s raining there. We can also see tire marks, indicating that Afton sped away in his car after killing Charlie. We can also see this in Take Cake to the Children. The orange guy also drives a somewhat purple car, so it’s very likely he is William Afton.
There is also a location we can access in this minigame. There we find a pile of dirt. This has to have some relevance! It’s literally a secret location, but it only shows us this pile of dirt. We could say this could be something related to a Twisted Animatronic! In the books, Twisted Animatronics are known for burying themselves during the day so they won’t be seen, and at night, they come out to capture children. This kind of contradicts what’s happening here, as Twisted Animatronics are known to bury themselves during the day, but here it is buried at night. It should have come out or something. And it’s also never shown that Twisted Animatronics exist in the game universe, so no, this means something else.
We are then introduced to a new location, JR'S. There is also a guard outside the place. Approaching him, the character says that we cannot be there and not to make things more difficult than they already are. So William Afton seems to have done something bad at this place and ended up being expelled or something. Could this be a Fazbear establishment? No, because Afton is not being allowed in, and we know that his first victim was made on this night. So why isn’t he allowed in? This probably looks like some kind of bar where Afton might have caused a commotion and was kind of thrown out. Walking a bit further, we find a house, most likely Afton’s house, but it’s a different house from what we see in the FNaF 4 minigame. It looks like the same house we see in the FNaF 4 menu. Entering, we see a gray person sitting on a yellow sofa watching TV. When Afton appears, the person says to leave 'him' (probably Afton’s son) alone, and that he had a difficult day.
Who could this person be? They are watching TV, and since this is Afton’s house, this could be Michael Afton, as seen in Sister Location. But wait, anyone can watch TV in the FNaF universe. So let’s take it slow. This person is gray from head to toe and seems to be wearing a dress. This could confirm that this person is Afton’s wife. In Security Breach, we know that it is possible that Afton had a wife.
If this is Michael, the person in the room would be the Crying Child. But as we know, Michael Afton literally torments his brother every day. So he would never say something like that, as this person is very concerned about the boy in the room. This wouldn’t be Michael; this is likely a motherly figure. So yes, we can say this is Afton’s wife! So maybe she was still with him in 1983. We know that Midnight Motorist happens in 1983, as it’s the same night that Charlie dies.
The person in the room wouldn’t be the Crying Child, but rather Michael Afton. Midnight Motorist happens after the Bite of '83. Yes, the Bite of '83 happens before Charlie’s death. Yes, that makes much more sense! Trust me. Let’s go, going outside, we see that the boy literally broke his bedroom window.
The Crying Child wouldn’t have the ability to do such a thing. We know that his way of dealing with something scary is to fall to the ground and cry. He is a crybaby, he wouldn’t be able to escape the house by breaking the window, that doesn’t make sense! This is something Michael would do. We know he is a brave guy, surviving several nights at Freddy's and trying to find his sister in Sister Location. This is something Michael would do. The person sitting on the sofa also says he had a difficult day. And you know what would be a difficult day for someone? A day where the person loses their brother. So maybe it is indeed Michael.
We know he regretted doing this to the Crying Child, and perhaps that led to difficult days. And maybe Afton moved to a house in the woods near a highway. Perhaps he started drinking a lot to, you know, forget his problems, and when he got home, he would beat Michael. Let’s go, it’s shown that Afton is very aggressive with his children. He screams and bangs on the door.
Going outside, we also see that the boy from the room escaped by breaking the window, meaning Michael Afton. Afton says he went to that place again, but what place? So this seems to have happened more than once... Remember that secret place, where we had a pile of dirt? What if that is the Crying Child’s grave, and maybe Michael went there for some reason? Let’s go, this place has to have some relevance to the story of this minigame; maybe it’s where Michael went? Or it’s just showing us that this pile of dirt is the Crying Child’s grave.
Outside, it also shows not only Michael’s footprints but also a footprint of an animatronic. It doesn’t seem like it walked or attracted Michael. We know it stood close to Michael’s window. It looks like an animatronic that teleports. We know there are no possessed animatronics at this time. Well, the Bite of '83 would happen, but we know the Crying Child didn’t possess Fredbear; he became a wandering soul. It’s confusing, Shadows Animatronics didn’t exist at this time, as they seem to have appeared around 1987.
So what animatronic could it be? This remains open. Honestly, it couldn’t be a person in a Springlock suit, as it’s raining, and the person would suffer a brutal attack from the Springlocks. So this remains open.

*RUIN SPOILERS, OBVIOUSLY (lol)*
i feel like candy cadet's story is more than just explaining how the mimic does it's dirty work (i think it is as well) so i'm gonna point out the similarities between the story and midnight motorist. yes, i do mean the frustrating little minigame with the mayoman.
basically, i'm just gonna quote candy cadet's story and point out similarities between the story and midnight motorist
“Now I will tell you a story... about a mother and a little boy who lived alone in a cabin in the dark woods”
huh, a household in the dark woods that has two occupants. where have i heard that before?
“There was a monster in the woods, but the mother caught it and kept it locked in the basement.”
a monster in the woods, huh? a monster that might leave around a few footprints?
“The monster always made scary noises at night, but the mother would tell the boy not to worry because it could never get out. Then she would sing the boy a lullaby to sleep.”
a monster making scary noises at night. a monster making scary noises at night.
“One day, the monster stopped growling and instead, listened and learned the lullaby.”
so the monster making scary noises at night now has a link to a lullaby?
“The next day when the mother went out to find food, the monster sang the lullaby from the basement. The little boy heard the lullaby and opened the door.”
so the parent in the household went to go find food. could've been some ingredients for a sandwich, a few apples, maybe a few drinks from the bar for themself?
and the child heard the lullaby and opened something? it could've been a certain box (although the box has tried to be swept under the rug for quite a while)
obviously, there are a lot of holes in this, like every fnaf theory talking about post UCN. there's no basement in the midnight motorist house, the house itself isn't a cabin as described in the story and when do we see nightmare, in fact, any nightmare animatronic mimic the voice of a child? although these same questions could be asked about candy cadet's story talking about the mimic (when does mimic get trapped in a basement in a cabin in the dark woods? when does the mimic freely roam outside?) but i feel like the fact that we've been using a book with demon spring bonnie and time traveling ball pits to point out some parts of the lore because there's some parts that could fit in cleanly with the game lore already allows comparisons like this to be made.
also, "the two residents of the cabin in candy cadet's story are a mother and son!", i hear some random person out of the batch shout, "but the two people occupying the midnight motorist house are william and mrs. afton, with william being the orange guy!" yes, yes, i know. but, when we first discovered midnight motorist, we all thought the poor excuse for a human being sitting on the couch was Micheal. they've got their similarities after all; grey shirt, red mask fully covering their face. usually seen watching something on the TV so it'd be reasonable to assume that they're Micheal, and what if they are micheal like we all thought (and some of you still think to this day.) then we have the parent-and-son connection. there's also the parent in the cabin being a mother instead of being a father like the mayoman, but the mayoman could be the mayowoman, who knows? it'd be quite a jarring switch from purple to orange, especially now knowing that purple is still peepaw willy a.'s primary color so it'd be reasonable to assume that the orange person in midnight motorist is mrs. afton. at least to me, it is.
again, there's several holes in this and i am NOT someone who theorizes about things like this. this is my second time even doing something remotely close to a theory, with the first theory i had being kind of obvious looking back at it. i just like finding dots and trying to connect them. so ummm, yeah. here's the afton ending comic book page from ruin
Like, this dude has a wildly different color & personality to purple guy, whom was PURPLE AND SMILING on "that night". Could it very well be that the file name "later that night" is just some general horror reference before something terrible happens? Why isn't it just a file name? Why does it need to be specifically William in the car? Why can't it be that the bouncer turns orange guy away for... being a drunk all the time? Why can't the pile of dirt just be a pile of dirt or a grave or a twisted one or whatever?
Like so many theories around trying to match character for character, but like maybe the reason no theory fits perfectly is because... maybe it's just a normal-ass minigame easter egg about a drunken dad's kid being lured away to be killed by purple guy? Like the one in literally the only other machine of the same shape?
The house looks nothing like ANY other house in the games, Mike wouldn't be sympathetic to his living brother, Why on earth would Mrs. Afton be bald (especially elizabeth who HAS hair when she dies), William has to be orange guy, Crying child... isn't crying or mature ig?, and the house is only suspected to be FNAF 4 menu location, and even then it's a stretch connection cuz we KNOW that FNAF 4's gameplay doesn't take place in a house, it takes place in the sister location bunker place.
SOMEONE ASPLAIN!!! Am i just dumb? Am i missing something obvious? What does it meeeeeeeeeeeen????????ok im starting to see why i quit before

Part 1: Stormy Night
A hard knock on the bar woke him up. He was at Jr's Bar and Grill and had a near empty pint of some generic beer next to where he had laid his head and taken a brief slumber. The bartender looked at The Man and said "Mister, I'm afraid you overtaxed your tab. Pay up.". The man shook his head and reached into his pocket pulling out a fill measly crinkled dollar bills and coins and put it on the bar. The Bartender shook his head and called for some bouncer to throw him out, knowing this man couldn't afford more since he hit his limit on his tab and couldn't pay he received a ban. When the guard threw him out and said something that was garbled in the pouring rain and from The Man's drunken splendor sounding like “Come on, you know you can't be here. Don't make this more difficult than it has to be.”. The Man got up and spit on the guard's shoe "Stupid security guards...". He located his car and questioned if he would be able to drive in his current state. The man elected to drive anyway. He pulled out of the drive and onto the road and then to the on ramp, then the Freeway.
(WILL BE CONTINUED COMMENT IF YOU WANNA GET PINGED)
(ALSO THIS IS MY FIRST WORK)
I feel like the midnight motorist mini game from PS is very misunderstood. So I’m gonna try and solve it today.
First, let’s go over what I’ve seen most people say it is.
They say that the orange guy is William, the person watching tv is Michael, and the kid who broke the window is cc.
I’m gonna give three theories of my own as to why I disagree with it.
Theory #1: The kid is Michael
I think this takes place the night after the Bite of 83, and orange guy is William, the person watching TV is Mrs Afton, and the kid is Michael. Why would William say that “he’ll be sorry when he gets back”? What did cc ever do? It would make much more sense if he was talking about Michael since he just killed his own brother. Plus, as we see in Fnaf 4, Crying Child’s room doesn’t have a window, so how would he break out of one?
Theory #2: Its Williams childhood
The kid could be William and Orange guy is Williams father, who is abusive and caused William to be the same when he grew up. Additionally, I’ve heard the layout of Jrs matches up with Fredbears, which could mean William turned Jrs into Fredbears when he got older.
Theory #3: Orange guy is Henry
Ok, here me out.
This is what has always puzzled me. If this is William, who has always been purple, then why is he orange??? Well, you know who the only other adult male character who has a wife and kids and who wears a lot of orange is? Henry.
This could be the night Charlie died and went missing, Henry went to Jrs and got drunk out of grief and came back home and started abusively talking to Sammy, who ran off due to despondency of his sister being gone.
Additionally, the house matches up much more with the Emilys house in the books instead of the Afton house in the games.
But these are just my theories on the matter. Personally I believe in theory #1.
I'm probably gonna get hate for this but oh well. I've not long started believing this theory, but when I think about it, it makes so much more sense. So, I used to think it was CC who was the one who ran away to JR's (or freddy's) in the fnaf 6 'Midnight Motorist' minigame, however I now think it's actually Michael/the older brother who runs away to the burial grave of CC and the man on the couch is actually Henry.
Firstly, if the person sitting on the couch is Mike, and it's CC who's running away, Mike would have to be a teen (around 16) at this time, but the sprite of guy on the sofa is named "man sitting" which wouldn't add up
Second, I feel like it would not be in CC's nature to run away, considering their being an animatronic right outside his window and he'd have to run through a dark forest on his own. This is is the kid that is scared and cries at everything. "He knows you hate it here" Implies he hates Freddy's, so why would he run off to it? I guess the theory is that this is before he's scared, and that's why Afton makes the nightmares, to scare him from going near them. I can get behind that, but to me I just prefer this theory.
Personally, I just think it makes more sense for it to be the rebellious, troublemaker Mike. I mean, he literally smashes his window to run off; rebels against closing his door, which we know from the line "I told you not to close your door" Implying he was asked to previously, but chooses not to listen. Mike is brave like we see in all the games and as Henry describes him as his "brave volunteer", so it makes sense he would run off into the woods without any fear. Do you guys think BV would act like this? Idk, it just doesn't add up to me.
What if JR's is genuinely just a pub/bar and not a Freddy's location, that William was turned away from? which is why he returns home in a bitter mood?
What if the man on the couch is Henry who was asked by William to keep an eye on Mike, since he has a history of running off? What if "that place" is the grave we see in the minigame, and the minigame is set some time after CC dies? This could be Michael visiting the grave out of guilt.
Also, it doesn't seem right that Mike is the one on the couch who defends/protects CC from William. The way he speaks in this minigame compared to his dialogue in other games/official media doesn't add up to this one.
To me, I think it's Henry. Which again, makes sense to me because Henry has said he "couldn't save you then, so let me save you now" regarding his daughter's death. He expresses not being able to do more than he probably should've. Which aligns with the line "leave him alone tonight. he had a rough day." Henry doesn't actually try to stop William's potential abuse despite being somewhat aware of it, which aligns with how he said he regrets not doing more. You see, Henry in the games and novels isn't this saint everyone in the fandom think he is. While everything at Freddy's kicks off, like the MCI, Henry just kinda kicks back and does nothing. In term, he isn't really a good person. If it's Henry who's sitting on the couch here, then yes, he did defend Mike or at least make a lazy attempt at trying to get William to leave him alone. Bearing in mind, he says this just as William walks in or before he even does anything, meaning Henry probably knew what William was going to do, go to Michael, yet he doesn't take any action. Which is what he canonically admits to doing in the games before fnaf 6, not take any action.
You are welcome to disagree with me. I'm interested for people to hear what they think about this. i feel like I could've explained it a lot better, but oh well.
