Mike was getting used to being able to eat.
Sometimes he would be working and Kelsey would put a sandwich next to him. Mike would give him a look as if calling him stupid. Then the realization would hit him like a brick.
“Oh wait, I can eat again.”
Michael’s brain was hardwired for starvation. So, being able to eat again took a while to readapt to.
Kelsey wasn’t even sure he had a brain. Did he now? Had the rest of his organs, he should have gotten a brain. Maybe that was the real reason behind it, so William could control him better, now that he had a brain.
Kelsey couldn’t get what William said out of his head. The temptation, the want to kill. The feeling of blood on his skin.
Kelsey hated to admit he wanted that. More importantly, he hated that he felt Michael wouldn’t let him. He wanted blood.
Alec wasn’t as tempted. Sure, he killed his parents and the fake him, but he didn’t like it. He got carried away, almost killed his sister, and almost got her framed. He didn’t want that again.
Andrew and Jake hated the idea of working for him. Afton had killed Andrew, controlled Larson and almost controlled Jake and Kelsey. Why the hell would Andrew ever listen to him? Jake… No. He could never possibly join him. Jake and Andrew were friends, and attached to the same animatronic. If Jake joined, so did Andrew. And Andrew was not going to join the purple man.
Reed and Julius might have been tempted. Julius, at least, enjoyed torture. Maybe it was just with Reed, but he clearly likes causing pain. Reed is too brain dead to make his own choices, so if Julius said yes, Reed would probably just follow him. Compared to The Stitchwraith, Andrew and Jake had a democracy and Julius’s exoskeleton was a dictatorship.
Pete and Delilah didn’t care much for the purple man. They weren’t murder happy, so they weren’t at risk of being controlled. Afton wasn’t powerful enough to create murderous urges, right?
As Andrew considered this, he remembered Larson. He was controlled by Afton. He wasn’t a killer, was he?
Andrew looked at the list of names on Michael’s laptop:

Andrew sat reading through it. Michael spent his life helping people. He would never be done. That was his purpose. Even after his father was gone, he would help people like Andrew, Alec and Kelsey.
Andrew admired it. Something good finally came from that family.
But now, he couldn’t help but wonder. Michael was looking for them, how many was his father looking for?
Larson smiled at his boss. Chief Monahan looked concerned.
“Were your eyes always that purple?”Monahan asked.
“It’s just the lighting,” Larson said.
Monahan felt uneasy, but let Larson leave.
Everette made his way home. He wasn’t just a cop anymore. He was under Afton’s control. He was a monster now.
The Stitchwraith stared at him from across the street. Jake felt horrible.
“I let it happen,” he insisted.
Andrew wrapped an arm around him. “I told you we should have killed him.”
Jake still looked upset, but at least he had Andrew.
Jake grabbed Andrew’s hand and held him close.
“Do you want a hug?” Andrew asked.
“No,” Jake leaned against his friend. “I just want to cuddle.”
Andrew sat, blushing like a tomato. Jake cuddled in Andrew’s lap. Andrew couldn’t help but smile. He could spend the rest of eternity cuddling his friend.
