For anybody wondering if theres anything in the book
The crying child doesn't possess anyone.
Now I know that might seem like a wild statement, it does, however I've been binging a bunch of old theories and a common issue I see is the repeated attempts to shove in every single little thing into one thing with no loose dangling threads.
Except that's not exactly how stories work, especially not plot devices.
Consider for a moment why you assume the crying child possesses anything at all?
He died to Fredbear, so he must possess Fredbear right? Exact details are unnecessary. Consider with me, however, that his story wasn't anything super important to the story and lore and instead was a plot device. Suddenly, his whole character makes a lot more sense.
He's the inciting incident for the story, his ghost permeates the walls and haunts the narrative, but he could just not possess anything.
He's doesn't have to fit in with any of the other dead kids, he's the starting point of all this tragedy, and nothing more. We see clear as day after the night 6 mini-game that he just dies and passes away. We don't see his soul stick around at Fredbears, he's stuck in limbo.
He doesn't possess anything, but he can't move on. He's lost.
And so that's why I personally suspect FNAF world operates the way it does. It gets the Crying Child out of purgatory and allows him to pass on fully.
I did not find this - my good friend @Starscream1998 found it and shared it with me! Thanks for your support, Star he doesn't believe in BBVictim yet...but he definitely should, 'cause it's awesome - no pressure tho, Star! :D
Here is what he found:
The BB Mask in Curse of Dreadbear...has Blood dripping from the head. BB with a head injury.
Here's a close up for demonstration:
Curious about BBVictim? Check it out here:
What if Shadow Freddy is actually a manifestation of the Crying Child's spirit?
After dying from 83's bite, his soul unfortunately found no rest, and instead of possessing an animatronic, his spirit ended up taking the form of one, a form known as Shadow Freddy.
This form represents a dark and distorted version of the animatronic that took his life in 83, Fredbear, and also represents his deepest fears and traumas.

Ignore the spelling mistakes im too lazy to fix them. Bite of 83' Happened when Micheal was 14, btw.
AHEM
-19XX-
Michael is born
Fredbear's family diner is opened
Elizabeth is born
CC (Carrot Cake :]) is born
William & Henry begin to plan for a second restaurant with more animatronics because fredbears is so successful
Because of this William begins to ignore his children
this makes Michael either bored/he wanted his dads attention so he began to bully his younger brother (CC)
this eventually leads to the Bite of 83'
CC dies around 3 days later after being bitten
Mrs. Afton files for divorce
Michael is given all of CC's plushies by his mom (Mrs.Afton) (CC attached his spirit to the fredbear one he always carried around)
(Michael is completely unaware of this fact until later in his life)
-Late 1983-1986-
William is driven mad fact his child died, so mad he killed Charlie because he thought it was unfair Henry's daughter could just live in peace, unlike his son.
Charlie possesses the puppet because when William killed her she was wearing one of those security bracelets, and since she was killed outside of fredbears, the puppet broke due to the rain when it was trying to bring her back in.
William learns that the puppet can move by itself and begins to investigate why
he learns what remnant is
Fredbears closes because of the bite
Freddy's Opens
he kills more kids (MCI) and stuffed them into his mascot suits which they began to possess
He ran out of suits to put the kids in so he had to resort to a version of the new "freddy fazbear" because he didn't want the new restaurant to be connected to Fredbears after the bite so people would still go to Freddy's (Golden Freddy)
Freddy's pizza is closed because of the fact they couldn't find the kids that went missing
William still wanted to experiment so he began to make much more advanced animatronics (The Funtimes) that could capture children and kill them if they were alone. one of which he based off of his daughter, Elizabeth
Elizabeth really wanted to see Circus Baby, her dad wouldn't let her, however, she went anyways, and when she was alone, Circus Baby offered her icecream, however, was a trap. When she went to grab the icecream Circus Baby grabbed her and she began to suffocate. Nobody could hear her cries and she died, and began possessing Baby.
Baby's eyes changed colors and William lost another one of his children to his negligence.
William shut down Circus Baby's Pizza World after he learned this, and changed it to Circus baby's entertainment and rentals so he could continue to capture kids spirits/remnant without having to shut down his restaurant.
When William went back to Freddy's, to gather his old animatronics, he had to hide in one of the old springlock suits, but due to the fact there was a leaking pipe, he got springlocked (old bozo is afraid of DEAD children's ghosts, they arent even in the animatronics💀💀)
-1990s-
Michael goes under his house where William was storing the funtimes. Where he began to "work" for circus baby's rentals, at least thats what the system thought.
He continues to "work" until night 5, where he gets scooped after following Circus Baby's instructions, as she and all the other animatronics (after they fused into ennard) just wanted to escape. They use Michael as a skin suit to leave, when they eventually escape his rotting body, as it wouldn't help them anymore, Michael, however, somehow is still alive, when he learns that the Fredbear plushie he was given was actually possessed by his younger brother the entire time, and he'd been trying to get his attention for years.
Michael at first is scared of the fact that the ghost of CC is trying to talk to him, he thought he was hallucinating.
CC knew what William did. HE killed the kids, and they wanted revenge aganist their killer, and CC was basically asking him to help. (CC knows whats happening because he's a ghost and has ghost powers idk) They needed to find William to be able to destroy him once and for all, but they didn't know where he was, not yet.
-2000's-
"Fazbear's Fright" a horror attraction, had an animatronic, one Michael recognized, his dad's favorite, Springbonnie, however, it seemed to be decrepit, and have a body in it like all of the springlock accidents at fredbears.
Michael applied to work there, as he had to see who or what Springbonnie (Now Springtrap) was.
After surviving five nights, (yes he brought the fredbear plushie because i need their sibling bond🙏) Springtrap released himself as William, Michael didn't know what to do so he set the place on fire, and the news blamed it on a "gas leak"
-2010's-
Henry contacted Michael, for the first time, well ever? and said that he wanted to help free the spirits, Michael agreed, and he opened what he thought would be then last Freddy Fazbear's Restaurant. Where he lured all of the unfree spirits, (Elizabeth, Charlie, the kids in molten freddy, ect [besides cc]), along with William, and set the place ablaze, as that's what he did to the Fazbear Fright, which seemed to free the other spirits, Michael thought he would die in the fire, he didn't, something saved him, all that remained was him, and the fredbear plush. His own brother who'd he'd killed (ON ACCIDENT) almost 30 years ago saved him. Michael could finally rest.
No security breach or anything yet :P

Is it okay that I wont play fnaf 4 because of scary it is
After the debunk of talesgames we should probably start having second thought about treating theories like Michael Afton being Mike Schmidt and CC being William's son as facts hm?
"some little girl was murdered here" *cut to a plush of the puppet*
So. The implications are that a little girl (likely Charlie) is the Puppet.
That means Garret's not the puppet.
If Garret's not the Puppet...
Who does that leave for Garret, guys?
To be honest, this is the most terrifying game I've check out. I mean, instead of a security guard and an office, you get to play as a child in a house. No cameras, just your handy-dandy flashlight.
The Nightmare Animatronics look so horrifying. Scott did a good job modeling them. The withered-ish forms, along with the sharp claws and teeth. That is some great designs.
And I also enjoyed the story: the Crying Child spend the days leading up to the party while being tormented by Michael Afton, his brother. And on the day of the party, he and his friends carry the boy to Fredbear's mouth, thus lead to the Bite of '83.
He was transported to the hospital where Michael apologies for tormenting him, but it was too late, he died.
Michael, filled with guilt and regret for what he did, became so strong that he had violent nightmares. Yes, the nights take place after the events of the minigame. In these dreams, he is a kid being haunted by the nightmare animatronics with Freadbear having the blood on his teeth, reminiscing the Crying Child's death. Thankfully, he conquered the nightmares and thus begin his path to redemption.
So all I have to say, a horror game with a tragic story, this is so well done! Good job on this Scott and here's to Ten Years at Freddy's 4!
HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY TO THE NIGHTMARE ANIMATRONICS & CRYING CHILD! 🎂🎂🎂
HAPPY 42ND ANNIVERSARY TO THE BITE OF '83!
P.S. Will we ever find out what is in the box?
