I have to day this despite me liking William Afton as a villain, his design as Springtrap, his line of "I Always Come Back!", and his great voiced by PJ Heywood. The one thing I am disappointed is that he literally ruin his redeeming qualities when it comes to his care for his kids because you look at a certain villain who has become monstrous over the years name Dr. Eggman in the past Dr. Eggman was a comedic but serious villain but now Dr. Eggman is becoming what William Afton has become where Dr. Eggman is now a villain that is taken seriously with no comedic moments and he is too evil now as seen in Sonic Forces, IDW sonic comics, and Sonic Frontier but what does this have to do with William Afton you may asked. Well even though Dr. Eggman in recent years has become taken seriously with no comedic moments, and he is too evil, he still at least has redeeming qualities like caring for Sage in Sonic Frontier, he has a sympathetic backstory revealed in Sonic Frontier and he cares for Metal Sonic in the IDW comics so this means despite recently he is now taken 100% seriously he still has redeeming qualities. William Afton on the other hand, despite taken seriously 100% the time just like Dr. Eggman in recent years the disappointment I have for William Afton he for some reason in every appearance decides to shed his redeeming qualities I mean in FNAF 4 his neglectful parenting lead to his youngest son death, and in Sister Location we saw he is responsible for Elizabeth Afton death on the hands of Circus Baby and I have to say it is a shame because had William Afton has redeeming qualities even though he is 100% taken seriously would of been more unique. That is why I prefer Dr. Eggman yes now recent years he is too evil and he is 100% taken seriously but he still has redeeming qualities while with William Afton he decides to be like you know what I will shed all my care for my kids and has no redeeming qualities which is again a shame because that would been awesome if he has at least one redeeming quality which is his care for his kids.
