Yes, afton came back once, and then survived a fire. However, this does not mean he’s all powerful. Let me explain.
Springlock animatronics are the simplest in the series. They’re faulty, stiff, and seem to have cheaper material than other animatronics. They’re some of the first ones fazbear ent used. Besides probably some sharp metal edges and the chance you’ll possess your corpse and the suit if you die, there’s not a ton of advantage.
Speaking of possessing your own corpse, that’s exactly what afton did. He’s a 40 something year old man who I doubt is the healthiest. Now imagine, after possessing this suit and your own, already mangled AF dead body, how’s that gonna be when you start to rot?
That rot’s also gonna fuck with the suit and cause it to break down and mold more. Notice how the original one is yellow, and by the time we get to scraptrap it’s an ugly af green. If the outside’s that gross, imagine the inside.
Afton does look scary, yes. However he’s a mangled rotting corpse in a just a molding rusty suit. Tell me how strong that’s supposed to be won’t you?
People also talk about afton like he’s come back at least 5 times, but he’s really only come back once. Mimictrap is confirmed iirc which means burntrap, glitchtrap, and anything else don’t count. The only time afton came back was after the springlock failure in fnaf 3. After that he survived the fire, then truly died in the ffps fire. He is burning in UCN now and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Most powerful thing he can do is kill mike in the games. Which yeah, is pretty scary. But that’s something nearly every animatronic does, he’s not that powerful.
