The Mimic 100%.

1. Glitchtrap talks in a robotic tone, both in AR and in GGY. Saying things like "How to induce human compliance". Which also distances it from Afton as Afton already knows how to induce compliance (manipulation).

2. Hand Unit in HW says that the "boards" used help to "digitally recreate performances and personalities", also saying how "original routines were used where applicable", the entire point of FE obtaining the Mimic from Edwin's factory was because they wanted it to recreate the animatronic performances in other FE branches.

3. Tape Girl gives more insight into these boards, saying how they helped with "pathfinding", the point of the HW game was to recreate the indie games but in a VR environment (Hand Unit literally says so). It doesn't make sense to use the real animatronic boards as the animatronic pathfinding is basically code that allows it to detect the environment and how to manoeuvre around objects and obstacles. That's not going to help them recreate the indie games, rather using the Mimic1 program to mimic the pathfinding the characters had in the indie games makes a lot more sense.

4. Glitchtrap even mimics Tape Girl's voice in the HW hub and also with tapes 15 and 16, we even hear it again in the HW2 level Bon-a-Bon when Tilt appears.

5. We literally have a story in Tales where it explains how the Mimic is able to enter human minds, and take control of their thoughts and actions. It quite literally explains Glitchtrap and how it's the Mimic

Honestly, I don’t think Afton being Glitchtrap would give him justice, with how easy he’s defeated in HW2
