SL was legitimately the only game other than 2 from the clickteam era that wasn't meant to be an ending game

You can’t convince me FNAF 3 was an ending game when springtrap is seen alive in the nightmare ending screen

Scott confirmed he saw it as an ending game and it shows too

Also not all stories have to have closure, if you interpret that very interpretative ending as "so this means springtrap is alive" instead of the many other options it presents, it still doesn't change the fact that it can still be an ending with the evil still roaming the streets forever

In all seriousness, modern FNaF is ass. If it's staying the same, then I wouldn't be sad at all if it ended.

HW set up a storyline that could've been cool, but was absolutely bungled. And we didn't need ITP either. It's raised more questions than answers tbh.

HW was definitely very needed, the VR games are basically the best in the franchise

The lore of the VR games was unneeded.. especially after UCN, HW could have just been an extension of William being tormented in purgatory, and it fits a compilation game too

HW could've been made but as a non-canon, lore-less bonus game
