Well I don't if that's true or not but its an incredibly terrible idea and its one of the reasons why I think FNaF fangames are better than the actual story and lore.

A single character doesn't make a book series canon. Otherwise the trilogy is canon

Besides just saying their canon, how are they canon.

Just because a book series character appears in the games , whether be a reference or actual appearance, doesn't mean the series it originally came from is canon, or that its the same animatronic.

The Fazbear frights have a ella that has a completely different backstory than the book trilogy. But just because they both have Ella for example doesn't mean they both have shared canon.

And the same applies here. If we are really following that logic, freddys in space is canon because that's where Roxanne first appeared in the series.
