Chapter 10 available here
Freddy had been waiting for the past fifteen minutes, but Gregory crawled out of the vent shaft, shaken, but not hurt.
"Gregory?! Thank GOODNESS you survived. The Endoskeleton Warehouse is the MOST dangerous place in the facility. Are you okay?!" Freddy asked urgently.
"I'm okay! I got the clearance. The Endoskeletons almost escaped, but they're trapped. One got out, but he wasn't exactly in one piece..." Gregory said sheepishly.
"Do not worry, Superstar! I only care if you are in one piece. What... happened in there?" Freddy questioned.
"This Endoskeleton told me about some kind of 'Tale of Five' when I got to the office, then he tried to kill me. He almost got out the door, but I severed the cable and the door immediately sealed. His upper body got cut in half and I disabled him," Gregory explained.
"Okay. What IS the Tale of Five?" Freddy asked.
"Well, I don't remember every detail, but there was a family of five and everyone died, but they mentioned that the Father is 'here now.' I don't know how that's possible! There's something... DEMONIC going on here..." Gregory said.
Freddy immediately knew what Gregory was talking about. It was the Afton family he was referencing. This confirmed that William Afton was the one who was behind all of this. It proved, once again, that Afton was controlling Vanny.
"I see... we will discuss this later. For now, we have to leave for Fazer Blast!" Freddy declared. Gregory followed him out of the Warehouse entrance, until they got back to Parts and Service. Back in the main room, they opened the door to Freddy's elevator hall and went to take the elevator up to his Green Room, but they had a problem- Freddy's lift refused to work.
"Why is the lift not working?" Gregory asked.
"They locked my elevator hoping to confine me in my room earlier. I assume that Vanny also locked the elevator to Chica's room to prevent her from returning. We need to go up to Roxy's room," Freddy explained.
They left the elevator and opted to do Roxy's elevator instead. This time, the lift worked. Gregory and Freddy stepped inside. This was a much smaller elevator, with an indistrial design. The elevator reached the top and they walked out into a room similar in design to Freddy's Room. However, the elevator was on the right side of the room, and the recharge station was holed up in the left corner.
"Well, it's refreshing to be out from under!" Freddy said. Gregory nodded his head in agreement.
"Huh? What was that?!" Roxy demanded from afar. Freddy clasped his hand over his mouth. He had attracted attention.
"What? Oh, don't get distracted. You need to be focused!" the muffled sound of Roxy's voice sounded. Muffled footsteps echoed further and further away from the two. Roxy had left the Green Room.
"She's gone! I think we can move now," Gregory said. The two walked out of the Back Room and into the cool, purple room of Roxy's. The room was nicely kept and designed. Roxy truly had high standards. Freddy and Gregory exited the room and snuck over to Freddy's nearby room.
"It's great to be back! Gregory, take the vents to Chica's room. There, you can get a Party Pass. I will wait in the Back Room, and I'll try to see if I can get the elevator working from up here," Freddy said.
"Okay. Roxy might be nearby. What if I see her?" Gregory questioned.
"If Roxy is here, do not worry. There are elevators down to Parts and Service you can take to come back to my room!" Freddy reassured. Gregory sighed, then nodded his head. He walked into the back of Freddy's room and crawled into the vent that was in the back. The shafts were very long-winding and cold, and the sounds of him crawling on metal erupted through the area. Cold air circulated around him, which caused him to shiver. Gregory passed by Roxy's room, the darkness of Monty's room, and finally, he arrived above Chica's room. Gregory took the vent off its nails, then hopped onto the green carpet of the room. The room was mostly decorated in bright pink, but the floor had food all over the place.
"Ew! This place is disgusting..." Gregory gasped. Thankfully, he quickly found a Party Pass on the nightstand with a star-shaped mirror with a pink outline. With the Party Pass in his possession, Gregory decided to contact Freddy.
"Freddy! I have the pass. I'm ready to go to Fazer Blast," Gregory said through the FazWatch.
"Good job! I will see you soon. I will pick you up outside Chica's Green Room. It is the closest to the Customer Entrance to Rockstar Row from the Atrium, and our way to my attraction. Be safe!" Freddy replied in an eager tone.
~~~
It wasn't long before Freddy picked up Gregory and they walked down the Rockstar Row entrance hall to get to the Atrium floor. When they arrived, Gregory pointed out a stark difference from the last time he was here.
"Well, it looks like all the barriers are gone!" Gregory said at first glance of the Atrium.
"Security barriers? Were they looking for you with THAT much effort?!" Freddy demanded.
"Vanny wanted me dead. I'm surprised they were taken down at all!" Gregory confirmed.
"Well... I'm much happier with you. Let's go," Freddy finalized. The two walked across the Atrium floor, toward an underpass on the other side of the Atrium where they came out. Past that was a wide room with a purple carpet. At the end of the room was an elevator meant for the customers. A STAFF Drone was standing in front of the elevator, holding up a tablet. Gregory and Freddy walked up to the bot.
"Please produce a Party Pass to move forward," the bot commanded.
"Okay... here's the pass," Gregory submitted, giving the STAFF bot the piece of paper he found in Chica's room. The bot stared at the pass momentarily, then nodded its head, validating the pass.
"Well, it looks like we have a ticket to Fazer Blast. I have no read on Vanny's current location. But the rules say I cannot accompany you inside," Freddy said apologetically.
"What?! I thought you didn't want to separate!" Gregory demanded.
"I do not. I will go down with you, but I cannot go into the arena. I am forbidden..." Freddy sighed.
"Alright! Fine," Gregory agreed unhappily. The two walked into the elevator. It looked a lot like the Lobby lifts, but the posters on the walls inside were all of Fazer Blast.
"I will stand guard in the Lobby to ensure that no one will get in. We may not even see anybody during our time here! So we will be safe," Freddy assured. Gregory sighed and agreed reluctantly.
When the elevator reached the bottom, the two walked out to see a small, but bright, lobby room. The floors were a marble white tile with some purple checkers at each tile's corner. The walls were painted in purple, although it was masked by various TVs and neon decorations, with lime green lines and pink and blue stars, as well as a pink Freddy in a space suit. To the left was a counter with some computers, a gift shop setup, and a purple space-style door behind it. To the right of the counter was another door, but it had an 'Exit Only' sign plastered onto the door. On the right was an area with some red couches and a bathroom. Directly in front was another purple space door that had an 'Enter' sign above. A futuristic theme of the Pizzaplex soundtrack was playing in the background.
"This place looks amazing!" Gregory complimented.
"Thank you very much, Gregory! I am very pleased you like it. It's just sad we weren't able to be here on... BETTER terms," Freddy replied happily.
"Yeah. So, the door ahead of us is where the arena is?" Gregory asked.
"It is! However, there is also a Security Office here to the left. Take the badge, then come back out to me!" Freddy encouraged.
"Okay, then. I'll get the badge," Gregory agreed. He walked away from Freddy toward the purple door that was by the counter.
"I hope we are truly safe down here..." Freddy sighed in an uncertain tone. Unfortunately, a few minutes after he said that, the alarms to Fazer Blast sounded. Freddy grimaced, then called Gregory on the FazWatch.
"Gregory! What happened in there?!" Freddy demanded.
"I don't know! I clicked the badge button and the alarm just went off," Gregory replied in a scared tone of voice.
"Every time we find one of those, something bad seems to happen. Listen, they are going to know you are here. My program forbids me from helping you inside, but right now, my number one priority is keeping you safe! I will guide you throughout the game, so we may retrieve the Fazer Blaster easier. Get out of the office now! If you find anything else, let me know," Freddy said.
It being against Freddy's programming to not help Gregory in the arena was a total lie. Freddy's true self meant that the programming had no hold over him. Freddy only pretended so because of his need to keep his identity as Michael Afton a secret.
Soon, Gregory came running out of the office, holding the new pass and a slip of paper that looked like a pass.
"Is that a pass?" Freddy questioned.
"Yeah! It's to some place called Bonnie Bowl."
~~~
Vanny was on the prowl, searching for any sign of Gregory or Freddy. One of her targets, Chica the Chicken, had already been found, and properly disposed of. However, no matter how hard Monty and Roxy searched, Gregory and Freddy were nowhere to be found. Roxy was informing Vanny of the situation near the East Arcade.
"I never found him in the lower floors. The Entrance lifts are currently being guarded, so we'll know if either escape," Roxy said.
"Excellent. We have them stuck up here. It's only a matter of time now..." Vanny said maliciously.
"But how do we get them?! We need a way to find them! My eye upgrade isn't enough," Roxy bemoaned.
Vanny was at a loss for words. Whatever methods she had been using through the night had never been enough to capture them! However, there WAS one method of finding them that worked every single time! Moondrop.
"Roxy... I think I have an idea. We need to cut the power to the Pizzaplex. If we do, the Moon will find them!" Vanny exclaimed.
"Really?! That's brilliant! Now where is the power to the building?" Roxy questioned.
"Manual effort will not be required. A simple Glitchtrap virus in the system will do WONDERS in our game of Hide and Seek!" Vanny mused. She abandoned the Arcade entrance on the Third Floor corner and instead headed to the nearby Showtime Booth, or many computers connected to the lights and special effects were. in the booth, Vanny placed her palm on a computer, which completely disabled the lights, the music, and the Pizzaplex system.
"The lights are off! Master, I will leave it up to you..." Vanny smiled. At the thought of Glitchtrap seizing control over every animatronic, every system, and every light, Vanny was ecstatic. This meant she was finally going to end the boy she had been toying with! She would hate it if HE ended up being the one toying with her.
"The darkness is temporary, right? We WILL need the light to return to throw off the employees..." Roxy asked.
Vanny smirked. Roxy and Monty cared about secrecy, because neither of them wanted to meet the same fate that Bonnie or Chica did. But they failed to realize, with Glitchtrap, they had NOTHING to lose. She had nothing to lose.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see," Vanny giggled. She loved the dark too much to turn it off on her own free will. But that's when Moondrop arrived in the Atrium. He crept up a nearby set of escalators and confronted Vanny and Chica.
"It is not time for bed yet! Why did you turn off the lights?!" Moondrop demanded angrily.
"I didn't turn off the lights! My Master did. And when he calls you to hunt, you will OBEY," Vanny spat.
"FINE! Now... I know where THEY are at now! They are at a place with no recharge stations. Go to Fazer Blast. There, it should be an easy ambush!" Moondrop said.
Sure enough, Vanny and her three goons gathered outside of the Fazer Blast elevator, patiently waiting the elevator to open. The time was nearly 3:50 by the time Freddy walked out of the lift. He was about to get away, but Monty and Roxy both pounced on him and pinned him against a wall. The sound of bricks cracking was heard.
"AH!" Freddy yelped.
"Traitor!" Monty spat.
"You are no longer the star of this show, Fazbear!" Roxy yelled.
"You have me, I'll admit. But you're NEVER going to find Gregory. Two thirds of the night is over, and none of you are any closer to locating the boy! Not even you, Attendant!" Freddy growled, staring at Monty and Roxy, then glancing in the direction of Vanny and Moondrop, who were watching from a short distance.
"Oh, really?" Monty demanded.
"You know... I think we need to take out the trash, wouldn't you agree Monty?" Roxy taunted, giving a glance at Vanny, that read as her trying to ask for approval.
"Absolutely! Let's put Freddy in the garbage compactor," Vanny agreed. Monty and Roxy pulled Freddy out of their own stronghold pushing him against the wall. Then, they hauled him away to the Kitchen elevator.
Little did they know that Gregory was still in the stomach hatch.
