Freddy managed to get Gregory into his chest cavity before the Daycare Attendant jumped out of the balcony and came after him.
"So now what do we do?" Gregory asked.
"I must close the Daycare doors. Hang on. It should only take me a few seconds..." Freddy said. He walked up to the wooden doors and tried to close them. Freddy pushed one out of the pair closed successfully. However, just as he was about to push the second door closed, the two heard a loud voice, just like the one Gregory heard back at the Infirmary. Freddy turned his head to the right. Roxy was watching Freddy from the upper walkways with the Party Rooms. The walkways were directly connected to the Daycare entrance.
"There you are, Freddy! Have you seen the boy?! Vanny is looking for you, you know. Though, I'm not sure why. Also, why are the lights off?" Roxy demanded.
"Uh... Vanny?" Freddy asked out of confusion.
"Yes, Vanny. The lady in the bunny suit. She wants us to find the boy so we can kill him!" Roxy confirmed, exasperated and frustrated. Gregory gasped. These animatronics weren't just going crazy on some far-fetched accident, or because of any over-aggressive programming- they were SERVING someone who wanted him dead.
"Vanny? Of COURSE I know who you're talking about! No, I'm merely confused as to why she's looking for me!" Freddy exclaimed. This was a lie. He was just as clueless as Gregory as to who 'Vanny' even was.
"You've been missing for an hour and a half! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Roxy demanded. But just as Freddy was about to answer the question, something slipped out of the door behind him. Roxy's eyes widened out of horror.
"Behind you..." she whispered. Suddenly, something pulled Freddy's legs out from under him. The animatronic fell to the ground in a crash, which also brought Gregory down. Gregory was still inside of the stomach hatch, so he got pressed against some gears. Thankfully, the cuts that formed on his body were only minor. Freddy looked up at the monstrosity that pulled him down. The Daycare Attendant had yanked him to the ground, stomach up.At that moment, Roxy ran away, fearing her own fate.
"Freddy Fazbear has collapsed on stage... you should be in bed. But you are NOT. You deserve PUNISHMENT," the critter-like animatronic growled. Freddy chose that moment to open his stomach hatch. Gregory was prepared- he used his taser to shock the Moon animatronic. The animatronic stumbled back briefly. Gregory leaped out of Freddy and stood up.
"Freddy! Are you okay?" he exclaimed urgently.
"Yes, I am fine. You need to turn the lights back on. There are a total of five generators in the play structures. Turn them on and the lights will activate once more!" Freddy instructed. Gregory nodded his head, then ran back into the Daycare. Freddy closed the door behind him to keep the Daycare Attendant out. Just as he ran in, the Daycare Attendant rose from the ground, groaning in discomfort.
"Ow! That hurt... you are keeping children awake at night! I am going to end you, Fazbear!" the Daycare Attendant spat.
"I'd like to see you try," Freddy growled. He was never usually aggressive, but he wasn't going to let anyone harm Gregory, his Superstar.
Moondrop lunged at Freddy like a rabid animal. He, despite being much thinner and slightly shorter than Freddy, was extremely strong. His small claws dug into Freddy's face. He tried to rip the casing off of his endoskeleton, but Freddy was prepared. While Moondrop's arm was wedged into Freddy's face, he slammed his fist into the round head of the animatronic. Moondrop stumbled back briefly, releasing his grip of Freddy's face. The thin animatronic recovered quickly and charged at Freddy yet again.
The two struggled for a few minutes before the lights turned back on. Suddenly, Moondrop gripped his face in pain.
"NO! The lights are on! Must... have... dark!" he mumbled incoherently. The animatronic fell to the floor and Freddy watched as he transformed into his light form, Sundrop. Sundrop looked very different from his Moon counterpart. His head was colored yellow on the right side, beige on the left side. His eyes were white and yellow spikes protruded out of his head. Like Moondrop, a grin was plastered onto his face. Sundrop wears a shirt similar to his face colors, adorned with two buttons, yellow pants with maroon stripes, and a faint maroon gradient above the fabric sash of his waist frills.
"What... happened? Did you turn the lights off? You broke my NUMBER ONE RULE! Your little friend is banned from my Daycare!" Sun exclaimed. He had a light, innocent, joyous voice, but it was currently laced with anger. Sundrop stormed over to the wooden door and slammed them open. He ran inside and marched out a few moments later. He was holding Gregory by his shirt. Then, he heaved the boy out of the doors. Gregory landed with a thud.
"Ow! Rude," he muttered.
"It was rude of you to shut the lights off. SECURITY ALERT, SECURITY ALERT!!!" Sundrop yelled. Then, he slammed the doors shut.
"This is not good... Gregory! Get in my stomach hatch, NOW!"
~~~
"Get in my stomach hatch, NOW!" Freddy warned. Without hesitation, Gregory climbed into the stomach hatch. As soon as he was safely locked away, Monty and Roxy both rushed into the Daycare.
"He's here- he HAS to be!" Roxy exclaimed.
"We need to go..." Freddy whispered. He rushed up a nearby set of stairs. Before he could be seen by the two animatronics, Freddy took off on a mad dash to get out of the Daycare. He skipped past the Party Rooms and made it to the Daycare Entrance hall. However, just as they were approaching the doors back to the Lobby, a cold sensation ran down Gregory's spine.
"Freddy... something doesn't feel right," Gregory warned.
"How so?" Freddy questioned.
Suddenly, the cold tingle that ran down his spine turned to a violent stab. Pain ran throughout his body, and his vision began to blur. He needed to hide. Freddy felt no such reaction, but whatever foreign agent that resided inside him was acting up- danger was near.
"The recharge station! We need to hide!" Gregory gasped. Without question, Freddy rushed over to the recharge station in the hall. As soon as he walked in, Gregory's vision got fuzzy and red. Then, out of the recharge window, he saw a person in a white bunny suit. Judging by her build, Gregory guessed that was a woman. She was skipping past the recharge station, on her way to the Daycare. The woman's suit was completely white with multiple patches. She had big, red eyes with small, black irises on her head mask. The red eyes were glowing. The rabbit held a knife in her right hand.
"My goodness..." Gregory whispered.
It wasn't long before the rabbit was gone. Gregory no longer felt pain and he could see normally once more.
"What happened? What did you see?" Freddy asked once they left the recharge station. He felt the danger due to what was inside of him, but never saw it.
"It was a rabbit lady in a white suit! I saw her holding a knife. I felt terrible," Gregory replied.
"I also felt some very unpleasant effects," Freddy agreed.
"What happened to you?"
"I felt cold, my eyes went blurry, and I heard a buzzing noise," Gregory answered.
"Hmm... most curious. Who would the rabbit be? There are not any rabbits here. Not since, well, Bonnie went missing. I miss him..." Freddy sighed.
"There used to be a rabbit here?" Gregory asked.
"Yes, but he went missing months ago. I remember them searching the entire place up and down for him, but they never found him. Eventually, they decided to make Monty his replacement in the band," Freddy explained.
"...Oh. I'm sorry to hear that," Gregory said.
"Do not worry. Now, it is 1:30 am. I was considering letting you hide out, but we need to get you out now. We should go to the Atrium now. There, we can take two different ways out- the fire exit behind the Prize Counter or the Loading Docks just outside the Kitchen," Freddy said. With that note, the two of them made their way to the elevator to the Atrium. They walked inside the first elevator outside the Daycare. On the inside of the elevator, the walls were lime green. There were two posters of various attractions of the Pizzaplex on each wall. The floor of the elevator was a silver tiled floor with a white imprint of the Fazbear Entertainment logo. As the elevator was going up, background music began to play. Gregory recognized this as the theme of the Pizzaplex.
When the two reached the Atrium, they were met by one of those drone-like machines Gregory saw earlier. This machine had a map in his mechanical hand.
"Hello. Please take this map, take a map," the bot said in a robotic, monotonous voice.
"It will not let you go until you take a map, Gregory. Take the map. You will need it to navigate," Freddy suggested. Gregory snatched the piece of paper from the machine's hands.
"This is a map of the Pizzaplex. You can use it to navigate the building. However, it is a guest map and there are no employee areas listed. Allow me to send you a copy of the full building map to your FazWatch," Freddy said. A few seconds later, Gregory got a digital blueprint map of the Pizzaplex on his watch.
"Thanks, Freddy! Now we need to escape. Where do we go?" Gregory asked.
"That is entirely up to you, but I suggest we go down to the Lower Levels. Roxy frequents the Atrium floor, her attraction, and the Upper Levels. Monty will be at either the Daycare or Monty Golf. I don't know what happened to Chica, but she is most likely too damaged to go after you. We should go down," Freddy replied.
~~~
"You found the boy?" Vanny demanded.
"No..." Monty replied sheepishly.
"Why have you failed?" Vanny demanded.
"What was I supposed to do?! Roxy was the one who was hunting him down! For twenty minutes, she was trying to get into a Boy's Bathroom not far from here!" Monty retorted.
"Don't look at me! Monty was the one arguing with the Daycare Attendant just now," Roxy growled.
"Enough blaming going around, thank you very much. Now... would you like to know who helped Gregory survive?" Vanny demanded.
"Yeah!" Monty shouted.
"I suspect Freddy is helping the boy, you know. However, I don't have any proof. If you two catch them in the act, you will both be rewarded beyond comprehension," Vanny offered.
"Freddy?! I saw him not too long ago!" Roxy exclaimed. Instantly, the others glared at her.
"You... saw... Freddy?" Vanny said. She spoke quietly, but her tone was loud and cold.
"Yeah! He was here. I saw him trying to push the Daycare doors closed," Roxy confirmed. Suddenly, she fell to the ground, clutching her head.
"YOU COULD HAVE STOPPED HIM. WHY DID YOU RUN AWAY?!" Vanny shouted. She was furious with Roxy's incompetence. Monty was standing frozen, watching in utter shock and horror.
"The Daycare Attendant... showed up," Roxy replied timidly. Vanny growled. Before she could utterly destroy the animatronic in front of her, he spoke to her from within.
"Vanny. Roxy still has use to us. Do not kill her. We already lost Chica, we cannot afford another loss. However, she deserves punishment," he commanded.
"I'll figure out a punishment to deal with her," Vanny thought back.
"There is one more thing- the Daycare Attendant. Do not punish him. He can strike fear into the others. His strength against an animatronic like Freddy Fazbear will serve us. It was an unfortunate accident that the lights turned him back to his Sun form," he said.
"Very well," Vanny agreed. Then, when he was no longer speaking to her, Vanny turned to the other two animatronics.
"We will go into the Daycare now. When we get inside, turn the lights off. I request to speak to the Attendant," Vanny said. Monty nodded his head. Roxy nodded, a bit hesitantly. Monty opened the wooden doors for Vanny to walk through. The three of them walked into the Daycare. Then, Monty walked up to the Security Desk and pressed a button that turned the lights off. Eventually, the Daycare Attendant arrived in his moon form.
"MORE children out of bed! I will- oh. It's you..." the animatronic said.
"I have need of your services, Attendant," Vanny said.
"And what would THAT be?" the animatronic interrogated.
"Find the boy. His friend, Freddy Fazbear is helping him. Once you find the boy, kill him on sight and bring him to me in mostly one piece. Disassemble the bear," Vanny demanded.
"I do NOT kill... unless they are out of bed..." Moondrop replied. Vanny scowled, but then, something got into her head. Her scowl turned into an evil grin. She realized if they were caught outside of a recharge station at the end of an hour, Moondrop WOULD kill them.
"Very well. Ten minutes before each new hour, when the power goes out, you will leave the Daycare and if you see the bear and boy running about, KILL them."
"Your demands are agreed upon... but if they make it to a recharge station, I cannot touch them."
"Okay, then! One last thing before I leave..."
"Yes?"
"Roxy has failed me. I will keep her in the Daycare for the rest of the hour, as punishment. When the doors open, let her go. But, when she's here, have no mercy. Traumatize her..."
Moondrop grinned deviously. His face was plastered into a grin already, but his features lit up. He stared hungrily at Roxy as if she was candy and he was a little boy. Roxy's eyes widened out of fear. Monty shook slightly but tried to mask his features.
"Oh, thank you! I love torture," Moondrop replied...
After Monty and Vanny locked Roxy inside of the Daycare, her screams of horror and pain could be heard across the Daycare for a long time... When Vanny and Monty were gone, Vanny turned to the large gator animatronic.
"Remember, Monty. We might have a deal. But if you fail, your consequence will be WORSE than that of your pathetic friends. Remember that."
