I'm supposed to know that when I first play the game? lmao
It's such a stupid mechanic
“Curiosity killed the cat”
Do you think Ink Machine is better than Dark Revival?
Yes
@Sampaioe Audrey is a character who has a satisfying arc that makes sense and is likeable. The story is not incomprehensible it's made pretty clear for any newcomer who plays the game through joey's cutscene showing what happened. Plus the game encourages exploration and curiosity through reading of notes and finding secrets that's how bendy's always been. And even then the ink demon's mechanic is not the only example of horror in the game. The section where you have to sneak through the keepers is genuinely scary and suspenseful from their creepy designs to their insanely fast speed and loud shrieks. Their good creepy enemies. Also all the characters are cool and likeable in this game: Porter is a loveable goof that helps us to survive, betty was a failed experiment fulfilling a purpose she doesn't fully understand and trying to make the best of a bad situation etc. Oh and I guess I'll explain why I like Wilson: Like you said at first he seems to be the generic old man bad guy but later he becomes interesting. In short he has a massive inferiority complex over his father nathan arch due to to the fact Nathan accomplished so much that wilson felt he couldn't compete. So when wilson discovered the cycle it was his way of finally making something better than his father. Only it wasn't his, the cycle isn't his, he was riding the coat tails of truly creative people to accomplish his own selfish goals. All the promises of getting rid of the ink demon were to fuel his own ego. He tried to control something that wasn't his and it backfired on him becoming one with his creation, of which failed in it's goal of defeating the ink demon proving that just like wilson it's all a lie. And that's why I like him cos in truth he's a miserable vindictive person who keeps vilifying his own father a truly talented man whilst he uses others creations that aren't his. Plus his design is cool, his mansion is one of my favourite locations in the game and that painting of him defeating the ink demon is comedy gold and perfectly illustrates his massive ego. Also the final boss is good, it's got good music a great design and it's fairly challenging and is an improvement from batim. And even if you don't find the game scary it's still a good game as it has enough good things to make up for it. Hell even Phisnom someone who is notorious for shitting on games liked batdr and thinks it's a good game. (P.s. I said that your complaint about jumpscares was ironic considering fnaf is full of jumpscares).
@Thatrandomdudeorguy I know it's a mouthful and then some:) But hey what can I say, I got passionate.
@Sampaioe What's the matter can't do a bit of "light reading" 🤣
Wilson is creepy and more sinister, villains in indie games like these aren’t really good villains tho
What do you think?
