MatPat is special. I don't think that once he no longer is the main face of Game Theory, the channel will never be the same, or as appealing to me. I'm going to have trouble going to bed tonight now, simply because I'll be stuck on this topic, turning it over in my head. I get that he did it for his own mental health, and I'm happy if his life improves because of it, but it won't change the fact that...he's gone.
