- - - BEGINNING - - -
After finding out about Spring Bonnie's unexpected feat, the rest of the other animatronics immediately rushed inside the dining room to check it out with their own eyes.
They were all incredibly amazed by how different everything looked, except for Spring Chica, who was already aware of it.
Spring Bonnie couldn't help but feel an immense amount of joy, as he received plenty of praises by his dear friends.
Even though he didn't want to admit it, he appeared to be a little embarassed as well.
A few minutes later, Funtime Puppet walked out of the dining room, once he finished admiring the rabbit's spooky decorations.
After doing so, he noticed that Spring Bonnie was still in the main hall.
The marionette proceeded to walk towards him.
''That was truly impressive, Bonnie. I assume it must have taken quite a while for you to place all of those gizmos around the dining room.'' Funtime Puppet said, while staring at the rabbit from behind.
As soon as Spring Bonnie heard the marionette's voice, he jumped in place, as if he was startled by it.
He then swiftly turned around.
''Oh! Uh... Yeah! Thank you, Puppet. I am very glad that you liked them.'' He replied, in a kind manner.
Funtime Puppet was a little bewildered by Spring Bonnie's odd reaction.
''Were you... staring at something in particular? It looked like you were frozen in place... Is there something that I should know?'' The marionette asked, as he kept on staring at the rabbit's eyes.
Spring Bonnie remained silent, looking down on the floor.
After a few seconds, he slowly fixed his gaze upon the elevator's doors.
''... Hm... Does it have something to do with that elevator, perhaps?'' Funtime Puppet added, waiting for the rabbit's answer.
He simply nodded.
''Well... Yes. The fact is... There is one thing that's been bothering me, for a very long time. So, would you mind if I asked you a question?'' Spring Bonnie replied, in a soft tone.
The marionette seemed a little preoccupied.
''I see... Hopefully it's nothing serious then. Go ahead, Bonnie. Whatever is troubling you?'' He replied, eager to find out what the rabbit had to say.
Spring Bonnie gave Funtime Puppet a weak smile, attempting to comfort him.
''Eh... No, it's really not much of an issue, I promise. It's just that... I never understood where that elevator goes. But, maaaayyyybe you know! If that's the case, could you please tell me?'' He said, in a curious manner.
The marionette was quite relieved, as soon as the rabbit finished talking.
He sighed, while chuckling a little.
''Oh dear... Is that it? You were starting to frighten me, Bonnie. To be honest, I thought you were already aware of that. But... Alright, I suppose.'' Funtime Puppet replied.
Spring Bonnie smiled, wondering what the answer could have been.
''Basically, that elevator leads to an underground factory.'' The marionette added, in a joyful tone.
The rabbit was remarkably shocked.
He definitely did not expect something like that to be true.
''... Huh...? Wait, you're telling me... There is a whole factory under this very diner?! But... How is that possible?!'' Spring Bonnie shouted.
Funtime Puppet simply shrugged.
''Frankly, I was just as surprised as you are right now, once I discovered the truth. I actually cannot tell for certain how long it took for me to fully process it.'' The marionette said, as he briefly glanced at the elevator's doors.
Spring Bonnie seemed to be at a loss for words.
He rubbed his chin, with a puzzled expression on his face.
''Hold up... Who told you this? And while we're at it, what kind of factory are we talking about, exactly?'' The rabbit asked, while rubbing his own head.
After that, Funtime Puppet crossed his arms.
''The one who informed me was none other than Mr. Afton himself. A few months ago, the two of us were having a friendly discussion, when all of a sudden, he mentioned the existence of an underground facility. I obviously asked him what he was referring to, and it was at that very moment that he decided to share a few details about it.'' He replied.
Spring Bonnie tilted his head on the right, while listening to Funtime Puppet's words.
''Now, to answer your second question... This factory specializes in constructing machines, like us. However, that's not all there is to it... From what I heard, the place was also created for various testing purposes.'' The marionette added.
The rabbit tried his best to stay focused.
''... So... Does that mean all of us were... built down there? I definitely did not expect that... It feels a bit weird, you know? Being so close to the exact place where you were born...'' Spring Bonnie replied, in a soft tone.
Funtime Puppet slowly nodded.
The rabbit then proceeded to turn his head away.
''Indeed, I can perfectly understand that feeling. Well then, is there anything else you would like to ask? If not, then I will be on my way, Bonnie.'' The animatronic said, while looking at the rabbit.
Then, out of nowhere...
''Wait! Before you go... Do you know if there are any... animatronics, down there? I mean, not just lying around, or anything of that sort... But like... Alive.'' He replied, as soon as Funtime Puppet began walking away.
The marionette immediately stopped, and turned himself towards Spring Bonnie, right away.
He appeared to be rather unsettled by the previous question.
''Hm... To tell you the truth, I have never considered such a possibility before... However, it certainly sounds plausible.'' Funtime Puppet said, in a coherent manner.
After that, the rabbit stared back at the elevator's doors.
''In that case... There might actually be other animatronics like us, living under this diner... That's incredible!'' Spring Bonnie thought to himself.
Suddenly, a loud voice could've been heard, coming from the dining room.
It sounded like someone was calling to Funtime Puppet.
The marionette quickly turned his head to the left.
''I better go now. See you later, Bonnie.'' He said, while waving at the rabbit.
Once Funtime Puppet did so, he proceeded to walk away and enter the dining room.
Meanwhile, Spring Bonnie turned his head to the elevator's doors, once again.
''I'm wondering if... I can visit this place. Let's go take a closer look.'' The rabbit said to himself, as he approached the elevator.
