I I'm alone arguing with a lot of people about this. They argue that the books are canon in different timelines. But like, precisely because they are different timelines, It already makes the books not canon right?

Technically all the books are cannon but the only one that seems to be in the games continuity is Tales from the pizzaplex
i believe that the books and the games are separate universes telling the same story differently and at different speed and in a different order
Ditto
They take place in different universes.
"erm actually they are the same universe simply different timelines" 🤓
The books are their own universe
It seems like you guys aren't getting it, it's obvious they are different universes (except Survival Logbook and possibly Tales from the Pizzaplex), but these people use the word "canon" incorrectly because of Scott Cawton who also used the word canon in the same post in which he says they are different timelines. My question is: If they are different timelines, then the word canon should not be used to say that the books are canon for the games, because If they are different timelines, they are also diferentes canons, right?
My question has not yet been answered. They are saying that ALL the books are canon TO the games, but they are different timelines. If there are different timelines, there are also different canons
What do you think?
