Chapter Three: The-Party
When Henry entered Freddy’s the next day, he was expecting to find everything normal. He did….at first. The restaurant was dimly lit, and he intended to keep it that way until they opened. Something just felt…..different. He couldn’t put a finger on it, but there was something that just felt……not normal? Get a grip. Everything is just fine. Stop being so paranoid. I mean, it’s not like we didn’t have a….night….guard…..oh no….but….I mean, we can always hire new people…..but….where is he? Henry narrowed his eyes and shook his head before sighing. He looked around uneasily. All is well, I guess?
His friend and business partner stood behind him. “Are you okay?” Henry hesitated. “Yeah….I’m fine.” He paused again. “They aren’t activating.” “What? Why?” Henry tried to hide his annoyance. “If I knew that I’d be trying to fix it, wouldn’t I?” “You know, maybe you’re not as smart as you think you are. If anything, I bet that you’re the one that-” That was the final straw for Henry. “HOW DARE YOU, AFTON?!?!” Both men were yelling now, shouting accusations and hateful remarks. No human could hear them, but a pair of ears was listening.
There was a soft rustling sound as the figure peered at the two arguing men…The curtains to the main stage were flung open suddenly. A black-brown-white face stared at them curiously. Neither Henry nor William noticed until a slightly feminine mechanical voice said, “Hello?” Henry froze and turned around slowly. Leaning forward, looking right at him with bright blue eyes, was Moxie the Australian Shepherd. “What the hell….” The animatronic dog tilted her head and looked ashamed. “Did I do something wrong?” She reached one hand forward tentatively. William had gone silent and was staring at the main stage as well. “What is going on?”
Moxie suddenly jerked back and elbowed Freddy Fazbear and Bonnie the Bunny, who in turn repeated the process until every animatronic was awake. There was a flurry of questions and greetings:
“Who are you?”
“Good day!”
“Where did I put my guitar?”
“How did you lose your guitar, Bonnie?”
Henry blinked and opened his mouth, then closed it again. He really didn’t know what to do; they were acting so much differently. I don’t understand. They wouldn’t even activate just a minute ago! “We need to get ready for the children. They’ll be here soon!” Freddy shouted. “Let’s go!”
Not long later, Freddy’s opened…..but something was different, the children noticed. Pretty much all of the lights were out, and the animatronics weren’t active….a small crowd of confused kids gathered at the base of the main stage, squinting at the forms they could just barely make out. Suddenly, colored spotlights beamed to life, shining at the stage and covering it with dim color. Freddy looked up and stared at the children. “Good morning, kids!” The bear shouted excitedly. “Are we all ready to have a good time? I know that we are!” He gestured to the other animatronics.
Moxie turned around and shoved the bear playfully. “Let’s go!” It seemed like the restaurant got even darker……and then a voice began to sing…..”There’s a fire starting in my heart…..”
When the performance was done, the children cheered. Moxie smiled and laughed before stepping off the stage. Her tail swished behind her as she walked around. A small voice behind her said, “Hello? Doggie?” Moxie turned around and bent down so she was eye-to-eye with the little girl. “Yes?” The little girl smiled sweetly at her. “You’re really pretty!” The child ran off, leaving the dog standing there, dumbfounded. She chuckled to herself. Children, the dog thought.
Meanwhile on the other side of the diner, Foxy was showing off to some of the children. “Yaaargh,” the fox yelled. “Ye best move out of the way, lads an’ lassies, or ye’ll be walking the plank!” The fox crouched down on his small stage. “Foxy, go, go, GO!” They cheered. Foxy jumped off of the stage and began to sprint across the building, laughing all the way. The restaurant was still pretty dim. Foxy began to sprint back to the stage, waving his hook in the air. Hahahahaha!
Some kid fumbled around, looking for something. “Where’s my flashlight? I can’t see-AHA!” He whipped it out and turned it on. A bright burst of light beamed from it-right on Foxy’s face. The fox skidded to a stop, eyes widening, and let out an unearthly howl of pain. “YAAARRRGH!” His head twitched and went limp other than a few more twitches. Chica saw what happened and rushed over, grabbing the fox by his shoulders. “Foxy? Foxy, look at me. Are you okay?” She shook him roughly. “Answer me!” Foxy was still for another moment, then he twitched and looked up. “Lllllllet go of meeeeee, landlllllubber, or I’ll……Ye’ll…..” He stumbled around, then jumped back, ears flattening.
“No lllllllllight,” he hissed before stumbling back onto his stage and closing the curtains. Chica looked at him, then at the clock. “Oh, dear me! Look at the time! We’d better go and rest. Have a great day, children,” the chicken shouted happily before retreating to the stage. “Good night, Mr. Emily. Good night, Mr Afton.”
In the middle of the night, there was a noise. Quiet, but loud. Sweet, yet bitter. Foxy heard the noise and woke up. What? He thought to himself. He opened the curtains and peered out, surprised when he saw Moxie and Dakota doing the same thing. The sound got louder and the three animatronics twitched at the same time. It seemed to swell around the room and sink into their endoskeletons, ringing out loudly but….muddled. Foxy strained to listen and tilted his head, concentrating. He could make out one word:
“Hello?”
The rest of the chapters are going to be divided into parts as they'll be really long, and I don't want to make you guys have to read all of that at once. Enjoy, and feel free to ask any questions about the fanfic. I'll try to answer them.
