It was a beautiful moment.
Michael was out retrieving whatever was left of Julius. He does that every month on average, he tries to do it more often. Kelsey and Alec were left alone with the ghosts.
Delilah and Pete were watching movies. Alec was at a cooking lesson. Kelsey and Andrew were in the garage. Kelsey was reading to Andrew.
Kelsey was drawn away from the book by loud noises. Kelsey and Andrew got up and followed the noises outside of the garage.
Standing in the trash was the Stitchwraith.
“Jake?” Andrew asked. “Jake!”
He ran up and hugged the wired amalgamation. Jake’s ghost materialized, bald, frail and pale, on the verge of tears.
“Andrew?” Jake said. He pulled him closer. “What happened? How are you not-” Jake sniffled back tears. It didn’t work, he was a shower.
“I MISSED YOU!” Jake pulled him so close Kelsey could feel the pain of almost being choked.
“Umm, welcome to Michael Afton’s house.”
“Afton!” Jake took a defensive stance.
“No, it’s his son. He’s nice. When I got kicked out of the Stitchwraith, he picked me up and helped me. He also got the doll and the Foxy.”
“And who’s he?” Jake pointed to Kelsey.
“He’s my cousin. He’s like a brother to me, so you need to be cool to him.”
Jake nodded. He pulled Andrew back into a hug. “I missed you so much. Like, I killed two people, and helped kill some weird clown girl. And that’s just some of it. I’ve killed so many people.”
Andrew hugged him back. “It’s ok.”
Alec dipped his head outside. “What’s going on?”
“Andrew found his friend,” Kelsey smiled.
“Do you want to come back in? Back in the Stitchwraith?”
Andrew nodded excitedly. “YES!”
Kelsey barely saw anything through the glow, but he assumed it worked.
Margie, Michael and Greg stared at Jake’s grave. Flowers decorated the bottom. Margie liked to think he found peace. She liked to think he was visiting arcades, and eating pizza up in Heaven.
Jake's uncle put a hand on her shoulder. Jake was right. He did act like a robot.
Greg was inconsolable. His girlfriend tried to comfort him, but it was no use. He felt like he had let Jake down.
Margie placed a bouquet of assorted flowers in front of the grave. Greg placed a few daisies next to it. Michale put a picture of him and his parents in between.
“Say hi to my brother for me, nephew.”
Greg pulled himself away, unable to take it. Michael still remained expressionless. Margie wanted to ask, but instead stared at the grave.

Margie stood up and headed out of the cemetery to her car. She stared at the Simon doll in the back seat.
“I’m gonna donate you,” she smiled. “Give you to a kid who can use you, Simon.”
It still brought tears to her eyes remembering how Jake passed on. “He didn’t deserve it. He was such a nice kid.”
Still, she got in the car and made her way home, despite how much it pained her.
