<p>OK, don't get me wrong. We all believe that we're jumpscared cause the animatronics are actually humans, blah blah blah, all that good stuff. Well, I noticed something. Micheal Afton is the son of William Afton, a.k.a, the Man Behind The Slaughter, a.k.a, the one who killed the kids and made them the original Freddy Fazbear gang members. Well, of course, family looks the same because of genes passed onto children, so maybe, they think Micheal is really Wiliam and are only attacking because of that reason.

<p>I agree with the OP. After all, in the GFVH cutscene in SLCN Michael says "They didn't recognize me at first, but then they thought I was you".
