<p>The medium of it being mainly a video game series is not what makes FNAF's plot an indecipherable dumpster fire. The reasons its an utter train wreck is due to messy and unclear canonicity, contradicting statements via the author/creator and an over-reliance on lore to tell a story rather than y'know just organically telling a story from start to finish within a game.  </p>
